Friday Fab Finds!
Happy Friday Dolls! I found these cute ice molds at Ikea last weekend while I was with Mini Me! They are a whopping $1.99 each. What a fun way to add the beach into coctails this afternoon! Even if you aren't lucky enough to live at the beach you can add that feeling into you glass. Cheers!!!! xoxo

Tone it up Tuesday!
Hi Dolls! Today's kick it move targets the triceps, while using butts, back, and shoulders for support and also challenges the core and accessory muscles for balance. This move is the crab opposite lift. Think "crab walk", "crab soccer" ...... on your hands and feet with the torso on top! Keeping hips low, knees bent, with feet slightly wider than hip width apart and hands straight under the shoulders lift the opposite leg and arm up touching the toe over the torso, repeat the other side. That is 1 rep. repeat 20 times. Add this into your circuit 2 times per week! Get out there and kick it ! XOXO

Monday Motivation!
Hi Dolls! I hope everyone is having a great Monday! Today is all about NOW....when you are working out be present for them. I've been challenged lately by some Barbies...that are working out on cruise control. It's not bad, but it can be insufficient. Think about your goals. Think about what you are doing and why you are doing it. Think about your form and tempo. Think about how great you will feel when its over! Challenge yourself to finish the last rep as well as the first! Til tomorrow.....xoxo

Monday Motivation!
Happy Monday Dolls! Today I want you to ask yourself a very important question.......What is it that I want to achieve with my workouts? Do I want to be healthy? Do I want to lose/gain weight? Do I want to look better naked? YOU get the idea. When you have the answer, think about what you really do everyday to make that happen. Do you eat right 95% of the time? Do you workout as hard as you should? Do you have the determination to make good choices? If you answered yes...you are on the right track, if you answered no, then its time to take a look at how to change the habits that are keeping you from being the YOU you want to be! Let me know how I can help! I'll be back with some new kick it workouts later this week. XOXO

Hi Dolls! What would you do if this was possible? The sky's the limit right? Life is way to short not to strive to be the ultimate best! Today is the day you ask yourself if not now ....when..... Don't be your worst enemy.....your workout is not something you have to do....it should be something you want to do. The reasons you workout are personal, as a personal trainer, its finding the right motivation that speaks to your individual needs that can be tricky. Being healthy is really the ultimate reason we all should workout, but lets be honest.....Dolls want to look hot. Nothing wrong with self pride.... let me know what motivates you to be the best Doll ever!

Monday Motivation!
Happy Monday Dolls! April is in full swing, Dolls everywhere are stepping up the workouts, the pups are extra frisky.......and needy. The garden is growing like crazy, the yard and decks have been revived with color galore, and the house project list seems to get longer. C is on a crazy train of deadlines, i.e. tired and grumpy when he is home. All of this combined with everyday life makes for pretty hectic days. Make time for yourself. Maybe that hour workout isn't possible but a kick it 20 - 30 minute one is. You are not always in complete control of what life sends your way, but you are ALWAYS in control of YOU. Life is a journey ...... take time to look at the scenery .....
I'll be back tomorrow with Tone it up Tuesday ! xoxo

Spaghetti Squash Lasagna
Hi Dolls! I can't wait for you to try this.....It is super nutritious, easy, and Pretty! I have made this for ALL my harshest critics and they give it the thumbs up! C & J, and probably T would like me to add MORE cheese and meat, but they seemed to be able to eat their share and then some. I know my men well so I made a meatloaf and everybody was happy. LOL
Make sure you read the entire instruction before you make your grocery list and start cooking. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions! Bon Appetit!
1 Lg spaghetti squash ( at least 5 lbs )
1 25.5 oz jar Cabernet Mariana Sauce ( I use Muir Glen Organic )
1 T chopped garlic
1 t dried minced onion ( or onion powder )
1 T Italian seasoning
1/4 c fresh chopped flat parsley ( You can substitute dry but flat will taste better )
1/4 c fresh chopped basil ( see above )
1 c chopped mushrooms - make sure you wipe them off with a dry paper towel ( I use baby bella, choose your fav )
1 Lg package baby spinach/chopped ( I use Organic Girl - You can substitute frozen just make sure you drain it well )
1 c mozzarella cheese grated ( I use fresh, but any will do )
1 c Parm/reggiano grated ( Buy fresh - DO NOT use anything in a can!!! )
*set aside 1 T each for topping*
Pre heat oven to 375
Place whole squash in the microwave for 3-5 minutes....I was afraid it would explode the first time I did this.....it did NOT, thank goodness. Cook til soft enough to cut easily. Cool to handle and cut in half lengthwise. Scoop out seeds and discard. Salt and Pepper insides of halves. Add 1/2 inch water to a lg baking dish, place squash cut side down. Bake for 40 min or tender.
Remove from pan and discard water, set pan aside, you will use it in a sec.
Scrape squash out with a fork and transfer to a lg mixing bowl. Return squash to baking dish - hollow side up this time.
Combine remaining ingredients to mixing bowl and mix well.( Once you make this a couple of times you can play with the ingredients. ) Evenly divide the squash mixture to hollow squash halves. Top with the cheese you set aside and bake for 15 - 25 minutes, depending on how you like your cheese topper.
Cool - cut - eat - ENJOY
P.S. Don't eat the skin....YUCK
P.S.S. I keep the extra filling to make omelets or pita toppers the next day!!! XOXO

In your Kitchen!
I love to cook.... and my family loves to eat. I'm always trying new ways to make things that can be good for you and satisfy that treat fix. Sometimes it works, other times... not so much. The Banana loaf took a lot of tries but I get the thumbs up on taste and texture from my harshest critics.
Dolls have to eat too. So try this yummy Banana/Oat loaf thats full of good for you fuel!
Pre heat oven 350 & Spray a loaf pan with No Stick:
1 C WW flour ( I like King Authur Unbleached Organic)
1 C Oats ( they can't be quick cooking)
1/4 C All Purpose flour ( again King Authur)
1/4 C cooked quinoa
1/2 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1/4 C Natural No sugar added apple sauce
1/4 C Honey
1/4 Milk ( I use Skim Organic Valley)
1 egg ( beaten)
4 Ripe bananas
1 C Nuts/chopped ( I use pecans) It's a Southern thing!
1/4 t salt
1 T cinnamon
1 T vanilla
2 Scoops protein powder ( Use Chocolate 100% Whey)
Sift dry ingredients together. Add oats and quinoa. Mash bananas and make a well in the middle of the bowl. In a separate bowl mix remaining ingredients together and add to dry. Stir til combined. Transfer to loaf pan and bake @350 for 50 minutes. Baking time can very - this is very dense so test by sticking a tooth pick in the middle and if it comes out clean its done.
xoxo M
